Alpha

What is Alpha?
The Alpha course is a relaxed, non-threatening, low-key, friendly and fun opportunity for anyone and everyone to explore the Christian faith.
We usually begin each Alpha session with a meal or light refreshments, which gives us the opportunity to get to know each other.
This is followed by a presentation of such topics as:
- Who is Jesus?
- Why did Jesus die?
- How can I be sure of my faith?
- Why and how should I read the Bible and pray?
Following each presentation there is the opportunity to listen, learn, discuss and ask anything! Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile!
Who is Alpha for?
- Alpha is for everyone, especially:
Those wanting to explore and investigate Christianity. - New Christians
- New comers to St Mary's Church
- Baptism families and newly weds
- Those who want to ‘brush up’ on the basics
When and Where?
We usually hold our evening Alpha course in the Hall adjacent to St Mary's Church on a Wednesday in the autumn.
This year we also hope to run a daytime Alpha course in one of the homes in our parish.
Please contact our Church Administrator for dates and times.
