It was standing room only at St Mary’s on Christmas eve when over 350 people attended a service to receive a Christingle and take the Light of Christ out into the community and beyond…

Congratulations to Rev Phil Saltmarsh and Rev Norma Arnold who were ordained deacons on 3rd July at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. They will be assisting Rev Paul Ellis (centre) in the many ministerial roles at St Mary’s and All Soul’s Springwood.

St Mary’s bade farewell to Rachel Sheehan who has been on a recent placement at St Mary’s. She has worked hard embracing all the groups and services at St Mary’s and particularly exploring the pastoral and prayer ministries. Rachel returns to her home church at St Mark’s Childwall with love and prayers from St Mary’s congregations.

St Mary's celebrated Trinity Sunday with a House Group led service when veryone joined together a paper chain and wrapped it around the whole morning congregation to symbolize the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

New accessibility ramp and toilet block opened at St. Mary's Church 18th July.

On Sunday 14th March Ann Dodd was commissioned by Rev Paul Ellis as Branch Leader of St Mary’s Mothers’ Union
David & Dawn Curren and young children Faye & Sian visited St Mary’s on 11th January at the 11am Praise Service, bringing balloons to help us understand their work with TB in Pakistan. The service involved Brownie prayers and the St Mary’s CMS group. Beaver Scouts received their Creative Challenge badges and Scouts delivered the alternative reading.
