St Mary’s Brownies and congregation receive daffodils on Mothering Sunday

St Mary’s Cub Scout Louie receives certificate of excellence for Booker Prize for creative writing.

Key leaders of all 3 sections of 25th Allerton Scout Group have now been awarded their Wood Beads, which signifies that they are fully trained including First Aid. By the end of March the Allerton District will have merged with Picton District and this new Scouting District will be called Liverpool South. To help 25th Allerton during this change Mr William Galbraith has agreed to become it’s Chairperson. At St Mary’s Praise Service section leaders warmly greeted Mr Galbraith.

Congratulations to members of 25th Allerton Scout Group who were awarded the Chief Scout Bronze Award at a special County Awards Day at the Devonshire House Hotel on 22nd November.

St Mary's new Guides Unit received their first badges in July - the Changing the World Badge

Jean Hodgson, a St Mary's Rainbow Leader, receives her 10 year long service in July.

Sandra McCann, Brown Owl, was presented with her 20 years long service award in July. Linda Fogg, presenter, is the District Commissioner for Whitefield North and was Sandra's Guider when she was in Brownies.

St Mary's Rainbow Leader, Sharon Milburn, received her 20 years long service award in July. Her presenter, Beryl Dunbavin, was the District Commissioner when Sharon was in Guides and it is 25 years since Beryl presented Sharon with her Queen's Guide Award.

Organisers of Liverpool Women’s 10K Road Race had extra help this year. St Mary’s Cub Scouts looked after the drinks station at the start/finishing post and gave out thousands of drink bottles to the runners. Members of St Mary’s Church and a Cub Scout leader were cheered on in the race. Congratulations to everyone!

St Mary's Cubs walked nearly 5 miles along the river front from the Coburg Dock to Otterspool Promenade in order to achieve their Stage 1 Hike Badge.The weather was perfect and badges were awarded by the Sitting Bull. Congratulations to the Cub Scouts and leaders.

4 of St Mary's Beaver Scouts have recently been presented with the Chief Scout Bronze Award. Congratulations on all of your hard work boys!

St Mary's newly reopened Guide Company had their flag rededicated on Mothering Sunday.

As part of Liverpool Football Club's 'LFC in the Community', TACTICS 4 FAMILIES visited St Mary's Beaver Scouts for a fun night with quizzes and agility & team work exercises and a very large Football Trophy!
