25th Allerton Wood Beads

Key leaders of all 3 sections of 25th Allerton Scout Group have now been awarded their Wood Beads, which signifies that they are fully trained including First Aid. By the end of March the Allerton District will have merged with Picton District and this new Scouting District will be called Liverpool South. To help 25th Allerton during this change Mr William Galbraith has agreed to become it’s Chairperson. At St Mary’s Praise Service section leaders warmly greeted Mr Galbraith.

Christingle Light at St Mary’s

On Christmas Eve a Christingle Service was held, in aid of the wonderful work of The Children’s Society, when everyone received a Christingle and was invited to take the Light of Christ out into the community.

L19: Messy Church wishes everyone A Very Messy Christmas

180 members of L19: Messy Church celebrated Messy Christmas on 5th December with all-age crafts, Christmas puppets and turkey rolls. We look forward to the next time we meet on Sat 13th February 2010.

St Mary’s KFJ Nativity

Adoring angels and surprised shepherds helped bring the Nativity story to life at St Mary’s 11 am service with KFJ leading the whole service and young George on the keyboard. Well done KFJ!

Congratulations to Akela Jaysho of 25th Allerton St Mary’s Church Cub Scouts

Akela Jaysho (pictured left with his family) was awarded his Wood Badge for completion of full scout training at St Mary’s Remembrance Service in November. A proud moment for all of St Mary’s family
